ncgr-sf-gemini-brettVice President
Gemini Brett
The world might not have ended in 2012, but Gemini Brett’s certainly underwent a wholesale death and rebirth. He stumbled into his spiritual a-weird-ening through a synchronistic maze of mysteries that shattered the walls of skepticism and initiated an unquenchable thirst for the star songs heard in times before the written word. Brett’s wonder has since led him through stone circles and cave cities, deep into the Amazonian jungle and high above the clouds of the Andes, atop the pyramids of the Mayan daykeepers and deep into the chambers of those in the Egyptian desert; adventures which continue to unlock intuitive abilities and inspire a unique astrological approach. Gemini Brett is a leader in the movement to re-nature astrology by integrating our two-dimensional charts with the infinite living sky. He is a world-renowned astronomy-for-astrologers authority and inspiring educator of the astrological mysteries. Brett’s terrestrial translations of the celestial conversation, expressed through the ancient arts of sacred geometry, musical harmony, embodied astronomy, and number magic, activate seasoned sages as much as they initiate students new to the cosmic curriculum. Sara is currently a student in Astrology University’s 4-year certification program in modern, psychological astrology. She’s been an astrology client since the mid-1990s. She has started to give readings and writes a monthly New Moon essay which is currently published by the on-line Day Keeper Journal. Karen La Puma NCGR SFRecording Secretary
Karen La Puma
Karen’s a self-identified metaphysician who is knowledgeable in both western and eastern astrology; she’s been a practicing Western astrologer since 1979. Since the Western form is more her specialty, she is considered a “newbie” in Vedic Astrology or Jyotisa, even though she has studied years with the world-renowned Jyotish master Hart de Fouw. For the last four decades, Karen has been on a long and often solitary journey of researching and writing about metaphysical and psychological systems, mythology, and spiritual teachers. She has blended the archetypes of the Goddess, Warrior and Hero with personal and ancient stories, reflective inquiry, directive codes, and artistic imagery. What evolved was A Toolkit for Awakening, a series of practical, motivational, life-changing, and life-enhancing guidebooks. In the 1970s Karen studied Egyptian tarot with the late Angeles Arrien, using the Aliester Cowley deck, which integrates the astrological symbols. Karen blends astrology with the tarot as her special intuitive gift. Karen’s goal and mission is to help others in their evolutionary processes. She plans to donate a portion of her profits for the development of girls’ education. More at
