Certification

astrolabe-mary-gowNCGR has created a separate Professional Astrologers’ Alliance (PAA), a 501(c)(6) trade association which emphasizes the business and professional aspects of astrological practice.

For PAA (Professional Astrologers Alliance) testing and certification, contact Dr. Cathy Coleman at ccoleman829@gmail.com

The NCGR-PAA offers a Curriculum and Certification Program that is divided into four progressive levels. The first three levels used to require testing supervised by NCGR-PAA teachers and exam monitors. Now the first level can be tested online.

Part of the third level and all of the fourth level are take-home tests. Questions regarding professional ethics are covered for all levels, becoming more comprehensive as the student progresses.

All the required material for each level of proficiency is covered in the NCGR-PAA Education Curriculum and Study Guide for Certification Testing. The NCGR-PAA curriculum is taught by many qualified teachers throughout the astrological community.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM: NCGR-PAA REGARDING LEVEL-1 CERTIFICATION!!

We are pleased to announce the availability of the Level-1 certification exam ONLINE.

This marks the beginning of the transition of the PAA Certification exams from the old paper form to an online form. The transition of Level-2 and beyond will follow.

This change also allows PAA to upgrade and improve the testing system by streamlining the questions, adding more depth of knowledge, and in general, raise the standard of our certification process all around.

The obvious benefit of online testing is making it available to everyone without the limitation of location, date or time.

Testing using a ‘print’ version of the exam(hardcopy) is also available when needed.

MORE DETAILS

Revised contents
The topics that are included in the existing Study Guide have been expanded for deeper understanding, and proficiency. Natal chart calculation is still required. The revised curriculum is listed on the PAA website, https://www.astrologersalliance.org/

How it’s done
The test can be securely taken in one’s private space, using an online monitoring service combined with an online testing service (MonitorEDU + ClassMarker)

As part of the registration process, the student determines the date/time they wish to take test. The student will receive a link for the test for the exact date/time they chose.

Additional technical details are sent to the student upon registration.

The test results are sent to PAA immediately upon completion of the test session.
