Music and astrology are brilliant expressions of the human capacity to discover harmony, coherence, and meaning in our existence, and are two of the most intelligent means of evoking expansive spiritual states. As evolving beings guided by astrology, we are the composer and the composition.
Tonight’s presentation will explore some of the higher spiritual octaves attainable through the union of astrology and music. We’ll examine:
- Planetary cycles and formations in relation to principles of rhythm, syncopation, counterpoint, harmony, dissonance, modulation, form and improvisation in the act of chart interpretation;
- How both astrology and music help us to establish a level of consciousness and to deliberately change it, with clear intention; and
- How music reflects different moods and energetic states indicated by planetary formations in the natal, transiting, and progressed charts.
Much of our work as astrologers is focused on getting our lives organized at the level of Saturn, planet of maturation, adaptation, and building resilient life structures. Astrological studies enable us to develop a crystaline organization that can cut through negativity and the forces of darkness so that we emanate light as contributors in our various fields and enterprises.
Those attuned to their natal structure and current transit activations sound their own distinctive tone in the universe, as the personality refined and unified by astrology evolves into a great song or symphony.
